I too got similar sms , and following the sms i had replied them, after replying by mail they asked me for the details to be submitted.I had done that too. now upon i have got a letter from a Bank, which reads outs that i have been a winner so a such they have despatched a draft made payable to me and sent to me by courier. hereupon they also writes ” costs of delivery and any additional costs associayed with redeeming this prize are the responsibility of the winner.prizes donot include any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the prize. the courier may charge the beneficiary fee for delivery costs”.
Please letme know about this, i’m about to receive the courier in few days.shall i receive it or not??

i got the same thing in my mobile. i filled my information and sent it to them via email.and now they are telling that ‘our Diplomatic courier agent is comming to india, be ready with 500GBP for the tax/clearance at the airport, and i have to make that 40,000rp (500GBP)to agent when he arrives india at first.and then he door deliver my prize of 750,000.00 (5,55,45,000 rupees)sealed in a trunk of net weight 19 kgs.

This email looks like a fake lottery scam.
Consider the following facts about real lotteries:
They do not notify winners by email.
You can not win without first buying a lottery ticket.
They do not randomly select email addresses to award prizes to.
They do not use free email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) to communicate with you.
They do not tell you to call a mobile phone number.
They do not tell you to keep your winnings secret.
They will never ask a winner to pay any fees to receive a prize!
Any “courier service”, “lawyer” or “bank” that a fake “lottery” may have introduced you to is also fake!
The following phrases should put you on alert:
“,000,000″:
they want you to be blinded by the prospect of quick money, but the only money that ever changes hands in 419 scams is from you to the criminals
“foreign remittance department”:
Banks mentioned in 419 scams are always fake (real banks don’t communicate using mobile phones or free webmail addresses)

Hey Anyone that has got this msg, please do not reply or send money. I have contacted the Shell Company on their ‘Fraud and scam alert’ service and this is what they have to say:
“Prize awards and grants
The awards of prizes and monetary grants often come through via text messages and/or e-mails purporting to be from Shell London, UK, informing that the recipient has won in the Shell Petroleum International lottery promo and similar non existent competitions, and asking the customer to send money in order to receive the winnings.
Please note that Shell Group companies are NOT involved in any lottery or mobile draws, e-mail/sms (grant) awards.
What to do…
* Do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or job offers from people or e-mail addresses you do not know or trust.
* Do not disclose your personal or financial details to anyone you do not know or trust or on a website you do not trust. Should you have disclosed this information to somebody you do not know or trust or to a website you do not trust consider reporting the incident to your local law enforcement.

hey dude i also got a message on my mobile that you have won 750000 $ in on going 2010 shell international mobile draws and then they write some formalities i filled them and send to them after that i got a message from the bank royal bank of scotland plc that your application is approved and then they ask for some other papers but yet to send i also got a winning certificate email scaned copy but i think its fake so what do you think
