Paypal Error – Bad Request – Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand

Paypal is notorious for throwing out unexpected and bizzare errors which make no sense to us.

The latest in it’s list of error is the new error which I’ve been encountering for past few weeks.

This error happens when I’m logged in and try to open a new window, or try to open a new link from paypal account in new tab.

This error is more or less exactly similar to the error which I explained in my other post earlier.  See Paypal Error Bad Request post.

Here is the error:

Bad Request

Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
Size of a request header field exceeds server limit.

Paypal Error: aBad Request
Paypal Error: aBad Request

Looking at the error it seems to be a browser related issue. I use Chrome.

Another instance when this error showed up is when I added a new e-mail to my account and clicked on the confirmation link in e-mail to confirm this new e-mail. This happens 2 times but on the second time the confirmation was accepted.

This error also showed up when I try to login. Again in Chrome browser.

I haven’t tried this in other browses so not sure if it is really a chrome related issue or not.

Also this error happens randomly.

The Solution

As explained in my earlier post, the solution is to clean Chrome cache and restart it.
